Tours

We invite you to include a tour of The Highground Veterans Memorial Park, near Neillsville, Wisconsin, in your Midwest travel packages. The Highground, the nation’s premier manned veteran’s memorial park, features impressive statuary and tributes, beautiful landscaping and a breathtaking view of a half-million acres of Wisconsin’s glacial moraine.

Nestled on 155 wooded acres, The Highground is a perfect stop for your travel groups. There are tributes to honor the service and sacrifice of those who served in our nation’s military from WWI to present day. Families of service members are also honored and recognized throughout the park. Guests do not have to be veterans to appreciate the grandeur and “heart” of The Highground, a place that will inspire peace and renewal for all.

Visitors will be rejuvenated by the fresh air and leave with a renewed sense of gratitude. Guided tours, led by our knowledgeable staff and volunteers, are just a requested donation of $4 per person and will offer guests the opportunity to learn about the history of the park and the meaning behind our tributes. Note, the tour fee may be negotiable for repeat tours during a single season.

After the tour, your guests will be able to browse The Highground Gift Shop which offers a wide selection of high-quality gift items including apparel, books, jewelry and unique Veterans items. The Highground Museum and Visitor Center features engaging museum exhibits that change approximately every three months.

This is a unique opportunity for your travelers to view fascinating photos and memorabilia from around the world. Your visit should ideally be two hours long so guests can fully experience everything The Highground offers.

We Look Forward to Your Visit! Reach out soon to book a guided tour.
