On Sunday, January 26, at noon, staff and volunteers with The Highground will welcome bowlers at Bowl Winkle’s Bowling Alley in Eau Claire for the 12th Annual Winter Bowl fundraiser.
The colder and shorter days of winter present mental health challenges for many individuals. What better way to shake off the blues than by spending a rousing afternoon of bowling that includes pizza, a large assortment of raffle baskets, rail prize drawings and more in a high-energy environment.
Bowlers can reserve a lane at Bowl Winkle’s by calling 715-552-0564. Registration is $40 per person which includes a lane (for up to four bowlers), shoes and a bowling ball along with a pizza for the lane.
This family-friendly fundraiser will help support The Highground’s 2025 Winter Veterans Retreat scheduled for January 31-February 2. The three-day getaway offers up to 12 veterans a blend of nature’s winter beauty and wellness activities while enjoying the diverse camaraderie of male and female veterans from various military service branches and eras of service. The weekend itinerary includes art workshops, ice fishing, snowshoeing, stress relief workshops and much more, all at no cost to the veterans.
