The Highground Museum is proud to have the exhibit, “Remembrance” on display at The Highground Museum from May 1–July 5.
Stay tuned for a Virtual Tour of the Exhibit (due to the stay-at-home order extension)
“Remembrance” is an exhibit honoring Those We Have Lost in Service, and “Remembering Our Fallen From Wisconsin”
On loan from Historic Military Impressions, this exhibit honors all the American conflicts from World War One to Afghanistan and Iraq. The center point is a “field” remembrance table and a fallen soldiers cross. A Field Remembrance Table is set up similarly to a traditional Missing Man Table, but it has elements that would normally be found with those serving in a combat situation. The traditional Missing Man Table will also be set up at the Highground Museum.
“Remembering Our Fallen from Wisconsin”, an exhibit honoring those we have lost since Sept 11, 2001, will be on display along with the “Remembrance” exhibit. This is a very emotionally memorial display of photographs – military and personal photos – of the men and women from Wisconsin who have lost their lives while serving in the Global War on Terror. This traveling exhibit is available on loan for organizations to display.
