Winter Clothing Drive
We are extending the winter clothing drive through January 31, 2022, as cold weather items are still needed. Thank you to everyone who donated so far – Your support is greatly appreciated!
Items that are needed the most are disposable hand warmer and foot warmers, new socks, hats, gloves and blankets. We are also collecting new or gently used and clean winter jackets, boots, hats, mittens and sleeping bags.
The items will be distributed to Every Third Saturday in Minneapolis, the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls, the Veterans Assistance Foundation in Tomah and the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Clark County. The Highground collects and distributes items to homeless Veterans year-round; however, the need is significantly more acute during the winter months.
Items can be dropped off any day of the week between 10am–4pm and placed in the donation trailer located behind the Museum. For more information about this initiative, call Theresa at 715-743-4224 or send an email to museum@thehighground.us.
