Women in the Military Exhibit

The “Women in the Military” Exhibition will be on display at The Highground Museum October 2-November 30, 2021.

This exhibition shows the evolution of women in the U.S. military through current times—how the country had to change its cultural and societal norms as the courage of pioneering women demanded it. The exhibit will share stories from a wide range of experiences, covering the achievements and positive gains from serving along with the serious issues and challenges, such as military sexual trauma and Post Traumatic Stress that some women in the military have faced. 

The Highground Museum will also be hosting the Wisconsin Veterans Museum’s new “I Am Not Invisible” traveling banner exhibit featuring women in the military as part of the exhibition.
