Working Warriors: Military Life Beyond Combat

The “Working Warriors: Military Life Beyond Combat” traveling exhibit, on loan from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum, will be at The Highground Museum from August 5–September 12.

Tour the “Working Warriors – Military Life Beyond Combat” traveling exhibit on loan from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in addition to a large variety of personally donated items and stories on the Support Jobs, traditionally non-combat Personnel and the Homefront Support efforts throughout our military history!

This is a family-friendly exhibit. Visitors will enjoy learning about the many service & support jobs in the history of our military. Traditionally considered “non-combat” roles, but many times these personnel are placed on or near the front lines.  Specific displays on local military personnel are highlighted and will be honored during the Grand Opening on Saturday, August 8th at 1pm in the Museum.

There will be interactive activities and self-guided workshop to make and take home a craft item showing your “hometown support” of the military. All exhibits and activities are for all ages and handicapped accessible.
