Female Veterans to Gather for Fun, Food and Friendship

The Highground Veterans Memorial Park will host a Female Veterans Weekend Retreat Sept. 10–12, 2021. This retreat will offer women Veterans the opportunity to have fun, enjoy great food and experience interesting activities including as a trail ride on horseback, a bald eagle presentation and a forest walk, in the company of fellow female Veterans.

This Veterans weekend is open to any female Veteran of any age and service history. There will be programs held at The Highground and at The Highground’s Camp Victory along with lots of great food, nightly bonfires, relaxation and camaraderie. A limited number of Veterans can lodge overnight at the Moraine Motel, adjacent to The Highground, or camp with their own tent / camper at The Highground. All facilities and activities are accessible.

The Veterans Weekend Retreat will begin on Friday, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. at The Highground and will continue through early afternoon on Sunday, Sept. 12th. Veterans are invited to stay for the entire weekend or arrangements can be made for attendees to stay for part of the weekend. Registration is required.
