The Highground History Project

Collecting and Preserving The Highground’s Past
Creating a “Live” and Digital Exhibition
The Highground is collecting the priceless personal stories, photographs and memorabilia of its history. Were you a part of The Highground BEFORE it was “The Highground”? Do you have photos and/or personal stories you would like to share of those early years, through the creation and dedication of tributes, events and/or beautiful structures like the Timberframe and even the Plaza itself?
Unfortunately, we know that many people who made significant contributions in the creation of the Highground are no longer with us. We DO want to hear from the people who were close to them if there are stories or photographs from those individuals that can still be brought to this project. Are you someone who may not have been part of the creation of The Highground, but you have a story of Healing at The Highground you would like to share? We would LOVE to hear from you, as the healing, educational and spiritual/emotional gifts of The Highground are why it’s here! Healing from the communication of experiences and shared feelings is the heart of The Highground.

PARTICIPATION

Please contact Theresa to set up a time for an interview to be a part of the project. Interviews can be done in-person at The Highground Museum or over the phone. Due to limited personnel, time and equipment, we may not be able to accommodate unscheduled “walk-in” interviews. To schedule an interview time, please email Theresa at museum@thehighground.org or call us at 715-743-4224.
