On Saturday, October 5, The Highground will host its annual Fall Bake Sale. A mouth-watering assortment of treats will be available starting at 10am until items sell out. Proceeds from this year’s bake sale will support The Highground’s second military couples retreat, “Operation Re-Connect,” scheduled for October 18-20.
The “Operation Re-Connect” weekend retreat is structured to provide a calm and supportive environment where couples feel safe to share their experiences and help their relationships grow through interactive and insightful activities. The retreat is free to military couples except for travel expenses to and from The Highground.
Bakers have been highly creative with the items they donated for last year’s spring and fall bakes sales and this year’s spring bake sale, including gluten-free desserts and homemade dog treats. To be an integral part in the success of “Operation Re-Connect,”, join The Highground’s Sweet Platoon Bakers and bake your favorite goodies. Prepackaged bake sale items will be accepted Friday, October 4 from 10am to 5pm.
