VFW Post #8478 Contributes Grant Funds to The Highground

Members of the Goede-Smith-Ramsey VFW Post #8478 Auxiliary in Augusta, Wisconsin, came to visit The Highground Veterans Memorial Park to contribute funds they received from a grant. They have graciously chosen to help The Highground purchase a large flagpole to be installed at Camp Victory.

Camp Victory, situated on a 300 acre wooded property, offers a variety of opportunities for retreats, reunions, and other large events. With a fully-stocked pond, 4 miles of ADA roads, hunting blinds, and an abundance of wildlife, this is sure to be a special place for outings. The camp has been utilized by many different groups including the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Church camps, Veterans retreats, corporate outings, and more.

“The mission of Camp Victory is to facilitate in the outdoors the emotional healing of Veterans. The camp’s environment and activities promote fellowship, community and new relationships.” ~ Founders, Al and Kay Lamovec
