The Highground Education Days 2021
The Highground comes to life with Educations Days October 5–8, 2021 from 9:30am to 2:30pm! Students in grades 5 through 9 are invited to tour the Park with a knowledgeable guide to discover the history and unexpected stories about The Highground, the Tributes and our Veterans military service.
Schedule:
- 9:30am – 2:30pm (adjustments can be made for schools that can’t arrive by 9:30am)
- Students in grades 5–9 are invited on a tour with a knowledgeable tour guide to discover the history and stories behind The Highground, the tributes, and the mission to Honor, Educate and Heal our Veterans, their families and all who visit.
- In addition, there will be fun and educational exhibits as well as presentations along the tour, including the cultures involved in WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Iraq and Afghanistan; the history of the United States Flag and the Liberty Bell; stories from Military Working Dog Handlers; and more.
- A Flag Retirement Ceremony or Flag Etiquette/Flag Folding will be held each day after a lunch break.
The cost is $3.00 per person. Call us at 715-743-4224 or send an email to museum@thehighground.us to book a day for your students. Students should bring their own sack lunch and may use our picnic areas.
