It is the mission of The Highground to honor Veterans and their families and to educate others about the human cost of war. It is the vision of The Highground to honor courage and sacrifice wherever it is displayed without denying or glorifying the pain and suffering of war. The Highground currently features over a dozen tributes and four miles of wooded trails.

The National Native American Vietnam Veterans Tribute
“The Forgotten Warrior” Dedicated to the soldier of Vietnam from the Native American heritage, this beautiful tribute was decided to be placed at The Highground by the National Congress of American Indians in 1994
