The key to our success rests in people like you, who embody the spirit of greatness by saying, “Yes I can, and you can too!”
As volunteers at The Highground, you will be a part of a remarkable group of people. You will get the chance to participate in fundraising events, greet visitors, help maintain the gardens and more. Becoming a volunteer has many benefits that include giving back to the community, making new friends and learning new things. Volunteers bring energy, enthusiasm and new ideas. The important thing is that we are serving our Veterans, those who served us. And, there are plenty of opportunities. All volunteer gifts and talents are needed and appreciated!
If you would like to help, complete the form on the “Sign up to Volunteer” tab to get started and our volunteer coordinator will get in touch with you.
Become a Tour Guide: Take visitors on a guided tour of the tributes and share the history of The Highground. We are looking for individuals who would be able to provide approximately two-hour tours. Learn the ropes by participating in training with our seasoned guides. Is mobility an issue? No worries, we have golf carts and powered scooters available.
Help The Highground bloom: Ditch those winter blues. From about mid-April through the fall, help keep the flowers and new plantings nourished once or twice a week for about two hours a day. For ease, we have a golf cart set up with an attached water tank trailer. As a family or group activity, share the benefits of volunteering and watch as The Highground blooms.
Volunteer at our events: We are always in need of car parkers, traffic controllers and food servers, as well as people to help with raffle ticket sales and set-up and break-down before and after the events. Visit our Calendar of Events page to learn more about all upcoming events.
