Female Veterans Retreat 2024
The Highground will hold a Female Veterans Retreat at The Highground June 21–23, 2024. The retreat is free and open to any female Veteran of any age and service history.
The Highground-based Female Veterans Retreat will include activities and workshops at the Park and local areas. Vietnam Veteran Nurse Sarah Blum will lead Post-traumatic Stress (PTSD) and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) recovery workshops and talking circles. As plans are finalized, more information about this retreat will be available here and sent personally to all female Veterans who are interested in attending.
A $30 registration fee is required which will be refunded to the Veterans when they arrive. Once Veterans are at the retreat, The Highground will take care of food, lodging, supplies, etc.
Early registration and a firm commitment is required. To register and get a detailed itinerary for the retreat, Veterans are encouraged to contact Theresa as soon as they can by email to museum@thehighground.org or by calling 715-743-4224. Please note: Transportation to and from the retreat weekend is the responsibility of the Veteran.
