History of The Highground Exhibit

The public is invited to visit the “History of The Highground” and “A Face for Every Name” (Vietnam Memorial Exhibit) Exhibitions now on display at The Highground Museum.

The exhibit on the history of The Highground is the first step in the larger “History of The Highground” project. This is an exhibit of the details of how The Highground and its tributes were created along with photographs and news articles of community and veteran impact and reactions. The work into documenting the history and more in-depth details will continue through 2023 with the goal to complete a permanent display, a digital exhibit and a book.

“A Face for Every Name” is an exhibit honoring all the Wisconsin men that were KIA / MIA during the Vietnam War. This banner display is made possible because of our supporters: Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund; WI Veterans Museum; PBS Wisconsin; WI Public Radio; WUWM 89.7; Milwaukee PBS; WI Newspaper Association; and The Highground.
