The Highground Ride to Remember, now in its 21st year, will host dedicated motorcycle enthusiasts as they gather once again to ride in remembrance of the casualties and prisoners of wars.

Join The Highground staff and supporters on Saturday, August 21, at American Legion Post #73 in Neillsville for rides at 11:00 a.m., noon and 1:00 p.m. Registration starts at 9 a.m. In addition to the rides, the enjoyable day will include raffles and vendors set up with the Legion to offer brunch-type food items.

At 2:45 p.m., the riders will depart from the Legion, making its traditional loop through Neillsville and then out to The Highground where guests will welcome them “home.” Riders will be provided a meal at The Highground with a time-honored ceremony to follow, to close out the day.

The Highground thanks all the riders who return every year to take part in this important event and looks forward to seeing some new faces. For Veterans who would like to participate but don’t have a motorcycle, there are riders who will be available to take passengers.

The Ride to Remember is one of the largest annual fundraisers for The Highground, allowing them to provide and improve Veterans Weekends Retreats, support PTS/PTSD programs for Veterans and their families and assist organizations such as Every Third Saturday in gathering supplies for homeless Veteran drives.

General questions and sponsor inquiries can be directed to Bonnie at 715-743-4224 or by email to events@thehighground.us. Information about the ride and other events is available on our website Calendar of Events page.
