22nd Annual Ride to Remember
Join us on Saturday, August 20 for the 22nd Annual Ride to Remember®when we pay tribute to our Veterans, POWs, KIAs, and MIAs. Every third weekend in August, dedicated motorcycle enthusiasts gather to support The Highground’s continuing mission to Honor, Educate and Heal our Veterans, families and all who visit.
The entry fee is $25 per rider or $45 for a rider with passenger and includes a rocker or patch.
Registration is from 9-10am at the American Legion in Neillsville (6 Boon Blvd, Neillsville, WI 54456). There will be two one-hour rides at 10:30am and 1pm AND one two-hour ride at noon. Highlights of the event include the three scenic rides led by experienced motorcyclists, live music by Uncle Ron from 10:30am to 1:00pm and basket & 50/50 raffles at the Legion.
A procession to The Highground will leave the Legion at 2:45pm followed by a ceremony and a rider’s meal (included with registration).
The Highground is honored to have Bronze Star and Purple Heart Recipient, Brian Eisch of Casco, WI, as the event’s guest speaker. In 2010, Brian was wounded in action. He retired from the Army in 2012 as a result of his wounds at the rank of Master Sergeant. In 2020, Netflix released the Emmy Award Winning Documentary “Father Soldier Son” about Brian and his family, focusing on the trials and tribulations of a military family.

Memorials for Ride to Remember and Honor Ride
As a way to pay tribute to our fallen Veterans for the Ride to Remember (in August) and the Memorial Day Honor Ride (in May), names can be incorporated into the t-shirt designs with a small donation. It’s a beautiful way to remember a loved one. When you submit the name of a Veteran, that name will be included on the back of the t-shirt. This is a unique opportunity to help with the healing aspect for the family as well as continue our core mission of each ride to Honor the Fallen. The information you submit will also be added to our Virtual Memorial Wall on the Honor Ride website. The name and information provided will stay on the site so they are never forgotten.
