The Highground Receives Generous Donation From Hardee’s

Dave Droste, owner of Hardee’s of Neillsville, Colby and Medford, and Julie Dayton, Neillsville Hardee’s Manager presented a check to Kay Anason, Donation Coordinator of The Highground Veterans Memorial Park. Droste, a member of the Hardee’s Independent Franchisee Association (HIFA), explained that the “Stars for Heroes” program at each store is what generated the $2,800 check. As customers purchased the $1.00 stars during the “Stars for Heroes” promotion, the funds are collected and then donated to veteran resources. The Association suggests they “give back” locally and Droste continues to think of The Highground Veterans Park.

Hardee’s has been a huge supporter of the Park for many years. In the past, the HIFA contributed to purchasing the Texas Barrier in the Wisconsin Persian Gulf Tribute, the PTSD program and now for The Highground Camp Victory’s Veteran Retreats.
