After months of selling raffle tickets (980 of the 1,000 ordered to be exact) for The Highground’s Annual ATV Raffle Honoring our Veterans, the winning tickets were randomly drawn at 3pm on Veterans Day and all three winners were notified by phone.
Kris Monson of Strum, Wisconsin, was excited to learn he won the 2023 Polaris Sportsman 570. James Gauerke of Kronenwetter, Wisconsin was the second prize winner of $1,000 and Deanna Rotar of Marshfield, Wisconsin won the $500 third place prize.
The ATV raffle is one of many fundraisers that helps The Highground carry out its mission of Honoring, Educating and Healing our Veterans, their families and all who visit.
On behalf of all the participants that the organization’s various Veterans programs are available to, The Highground staff and this year’s lucky winners are grateful to everyone who purchased tickets as a way to assist The Highground’s ongoing efforts.
Supporters are invited to keep an eye out in the coming months for information about next year’s annual ATV raffle. Once tickets arrive at The Highground, they will be available for purchase up until the raffle drawing on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024.
