The Kokosz Sisters, AKA The Basket Babes, Are at It Again

On Saturday, June 12, the Kokosz sisters, also known as the “Basket Babes”, and their family, will proudly display their skills at coordinating basket raffles. With over 100 themed baskets and a grand prize, supporters may find it hard to decide where to drop their tickets.

“We were going to take a break for this year, but it’s in our blood”, said Sue Kokosz. “We love being able to help support The Highground in their efforts to help Veterans”, added Mary Kokosz.

The raffle will run from 10am-4pm, coinciding with the two stone ceremonies and the Korean War Reunion that day. And if that’s not enough, the “Babes” have arranged to offer a hotdog and walking taco stand. The drawing will be held at 4pm. Ticket holders need not be present to win.

The Highground is forever grateful to Sue, Mary and the entire Kokosz family for their unwavering support, along with the many sponsors who have joined the cause: Target, Marshfield Walmart, Marshfield Pick ‘N Save, Marshfield Woodfield Inn & Suites, Marshfield Lumberyard Bar & Grill, Marshfield Country Club, Sam’s Club, Gordon Food Services, Warrenville Ace Hardware, Hair We Are Hair Salon, Rose Bowl Lanes, Moriane Motel, Festival Foods, BP of Stratford and Blain’s Farm & Fleet in Romeoville, IL.
