Veteran Artists Invited to Display Artwork During April Art Tour

The Highground Veterans Memorial Park is excited to return as a host site for the 2022 “Spring Into the Arts” Tour happening in Clark County April 23-24.

Veteran artists are invited to book a space at The Highground to show and sell their artworks during this event. The “artworks” can be a wide variety of art forms, including traditional paintings, quilting, woodwork, pottery, writing, music and more.

The Highground recognizes that creating art in many forms can be a key activity to lessen depression and provide fulfillment in life. It has also been shown as a positive tool to help with the prevention of suicide, both Veteran and civilian. As part of The Highground’s mission of Healing, there will be sample art items and instructions offered at no charge to Veterans and families who are working their way through PTSD and other mental health issues. These items will be available to all guests for a small donation. There is no “wrong way” to be an artist and the road to healing might start with this one small step.

For more information, Veteran artists and others can call Theresa at 715-743-4224 or send an email to museum@thehighground.us. Event updates, news and more can be found online at thehighground.us

The Highground is located at W7031 Ridge Rd, Neillsville WI 54456.
