Neillsville, January 3, 2020 – Darlene Zschernitz of Neillsville Citizens State Bank of Loyal presented a check for $2,500 to Rhonda Miller, Gift Shop Coordinator at The Highground. Thank you Citizens State Bank of Loyal! Visitors to the Gift Shop, Museum and Visitor Center continue to benefit from and appreciate the various tributes and programs that are only available because of the generosity of our contributors. This gift allows us to continue supporting our Veterans and their families.

The Highground Veterans Memorial Park, originally incorporated as the Wisconsin Vietnam Veterans Memorial Project (WVVMP) in 1984, was built as a tribute to fallen veterans and to honor surviving military personnel. The Highground is a nonprofit grassroots organization with no ongoing federal or state funding; it is run by volunteers. The park is open daily from 9am-5pm (10am-4pm, winter).
