On October 11, 2025, more than 40 UTV riders with the Eau Pleine River Rats ATV/UTV Club rolled into The Highground Veterans Memorial Park, dusty from the trail but brimming with pride. Representing their club, the group arrived to present a substantial donation raised through their 2025 fundraising efforts.
Earlier this year, the club voted to designate The Highground as the recipient of their annual campaign. Spearheaded by Jerry Konig and fellow Vietnam Veteran members, the Eau Pleine River Rats raised an impressive $6,700 in support of The Highground’s veterans programs. A portion of the funds were also allocated to The Highground Rising expansion campaign, securing the club’s place in the esteemed Squad Giving Society.
In recognition of their charitable donation, the Eau Pleine River Rats will be honored with a permanent place on the donor wall of the Welcome Center Legacy Entrance, symbolizing their commitment to veterans and their enduring support of The Highground’s mission.
